Student Prerequisites
Minimum age: 18, 15 with parental consent
Minimum certification: of TDI Nitrox Diver or equivalent, SDI Advanced Adventure Diver , Advanced Diver, or equivalent
Minimum Dives: 25 logged open water dives
Minimum Skills: Satisfactorily complete the TDI Decompression Procedures course written examination Complete all open water requirements safely and efficiently Demonstrate mature, sound judgment concerning dive planning and execution
Gear Requirements
Alternative second stage octopus attached to a primary regulator or a redundant scuba unit; 1.9 litre/13cu ft minimum. A submersible pressure gauge. Depth gauge and automatic bottom timer and/or dive computer. Buoyancy compensator device (BCD) with power inflator. Line cutting device. Exposure suit adequate for the open water environment. Cylinder and regulator properly labeled and cleaned as required for EAN mixtures. Access to oxygen analyzer, may be supplied by instructor.Primary cylinder(s), cylinder volume appropriate for planned dive and student gas consumption Note: Independent and isolated back-mounted doubles, are allowed to be used.Decompression mix cylinder(s) Cylinder volume appropriate for the planned dive and student gas consumption with submersible pressure gauge. Labeled in accordance with TDI Standards. Depth gauge and automatic bottom timer and / or dive computer. Regulator(s). Primary and alternate 2nd stage required on all primary cylinders. Submersible pressure gauges are required on all primary cylinders. Buoyancy compensator device(s) (BCD) adequate for equipment configuration. Line cutting device. Jon-line and other rigging lines as dictated by site conditions. Ascent reel with lift bag /surface marker buoy. Adequate for maximum planned depth. Minimum of 12 kg / 25 lb lift bag. Oxygen (O2) analyzer; may be supplied by the instructor. Exposure suit adequate for the open water environment. Underwater slate.
